Ultimately the result can be a collapsed filter allowing unfiltered and potentially contaminated fuel to enter the injectors. The fuel injectors then quickly become damaged, requiring expensive repair.

In addition to using the correct filter, it must be changed at the right time. The operator鈥檚 manual specifies the proper intervals for changing filters. These intervals have been determined to be acceptable under normal operating conditions. However, if you suspect the diesel fuel in your area is of lower quality, you may need to change your filter more often. Consider using a two-stage filtration system on diesel storage tanks and mobile fuelling carts to ensure the fuel is as free of contaminants as possible before it enters the machine tank.
